What will we do?

Putting aside previous political agendas, we will re-establish a good relationship within the kingdom to safeguard and the forefront of Aruba’s autonomy, fulfilling our part in order to demand compliance with this sacred treaty. This is the beginning of the recovery from the disaster left by the partisanship and corruption of recent years. The world has changed since we gained our autonomy status and we have to prove that we have the ability to be able to lead our own country based on transparent and honest actions.

We will invest in the reform of our social, educational, judicial, fiscal, financial and economic system that is still outdated. Our people deserve to live in a society in which duties and rights are honored in the time we live in, in the 21st century. Only through the modernization of our laws can a government pay attention and take care of all the social, financial and economic problems of Aruba. This requires courage, this requires action.

With a solid legal system, we can establish more than governance; an independent, fair, equal and transparent management system for all citizens. No matter who you are, you deserve a better government service which is honest and based on integrity. This is the only way we can protect the constitutional freedoms of every citizen, as well as the most vulnerable in the community. Their duties and rights are going to be honored according to the law, not political approval, that’s real action.

Who are we?

We are a progressive liberal party that believes in an honest, efficient and transparent governmental system. Accion21 firmly believes in the restoration of our relationships within the Kingdom and wants to see more cooperation between Aruba and The Netherlands. We will take action to revitalize our economy, tackle our poor financial situation, deal with the social crisis, reform the governmental system, innovate our education system and introduce preventive policies in our healthcare system. We also want to focus on sustainability and preservation of the environment. All governments aim to carry out the ambitions and serve the needs of their community and that is why Accion21 wants to hear from you.

We believe in restoring the progress of our country through sustainable, fair and transparent economic development. Economic developments must go hand in hand with society, our people and their absolute potential, not political agendas.

Our objective is to eliminate red tape, favoritism and populism. We will begin the reparation of our financial situation and activate the progress of our country. The progress and freedom that for generations the people have longed for. Integrity is more than a word, it is an action that should be visible to all citizens based on facts and examples.

Who are we here for?

For the people of Aruba who want to restore their trust in the value and credibility of our governmental system. We want to recover the essence of our autonomy for which we have fought so hard; equality. By creating better relationships and trust within the Kingdom, we can fulfill the freedom that our sacred Constitution promises to our people.

For the elderly, who make up a large group of our community that faces economic and social challenges that we have never experienced. Our elders deserve a good quality of life and care in general.

For our working people, who from before they were deeply affected by the pandemic, were already limited in professional and personal progress due to an outdated and Nepotist bureaucratic system. As we have longed for the freedom of our country, our workers deserve the freedom to be able to grow and live according to their maximum potential in order to help pull our country out of the current financial crisis.

Our young people and adults who are looking for a hope for their future. Those with degrees who cannot find job opportunities, as well as the large group of young people who do not have inclusive professional development options. Every young person on this island has potential, we need an education and support system to help develop these talents and thus provide sustainable well-being. Just because you’ve fallen along the way doesn’t mean that we lose in you. Our people deserve more opportunities and the freedom to grow both professionally and personally.
